The Shores of Valinor

I’ve been shooting bio-luminescence along the Jervis Bay shoreline now for a few years – where it appears unexpectedly, and on this particular night a few months ago, the whole length of the beach was alight with blue as small waves lapped against the sand leaving lines of sparkling fairy dust while Mars and a star-speckled night sky looks on. Quite a few individual shots were combined to form the panorama.
The Caravelle ‘Notorious’ visited Jervis Bay a few years back and was anchored a bit further out into the Bay as I captured it in the pre-dawn. Being a great Tolkien fan, with an over-active imagination – I wondered as I stood there watching this magical display, what they would look like together …. I guess this would have to be fairly close.
