“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo.
“So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
There are many special moments in life … some that flee as quickly as they arrive, difficult to anticipate, easier to accept as the Path chosen.
I have stood in the half-light of early dawn here, a hundred times – watched as the day unfolds from the eastern sky …. and meditated on the fact of Being in this Place.
I often miss the fog shrouded rivers and hills of the Central West, the clarity of the air and the darkness of the night sky – but this is my Place at this time.
Although I generally prefer to be alone when shooting, my best dawn sessions here have been shared with this guy, my son Craig … Yesterday was no exception, with a red sun breaking through heavy cloud at that magic moment, as dolphins made their way north along Greenfield Beach, Jervis Bay.
