Breakfast in Jasper

“One can follow the sun, of course, but I have always thought that it is best to know some winter, too, so that the summer, when it arrives, is the more gratefully received.”

  1. Familiar territory. Try to get a run up to Mt. Edith Cavell. If it clears get out at night and enjoy the stars. Enjoy your visit. Take care. Bob

    1. Thanks Bob. This trip was back in 2011, and I didn’t manage to get to Mt Edith Cavell unfortunately. I’d love to spend weeks here looking at stars under those dark skies. Wes

      1. Hi Wes. The first European explorers trekked over Athabasca Pass, near Jasper, in the early 1800’s. It was during the winter. The leader, David Thompson, noted in his journal, the clear night skies and the many bright stars were disconcerting for the men in the expedition. Take care. Bob
